E.K. Miehlke

About

E.K. Miehlke writes worlds where the extraordinary feels close enough to touch.

Mystery can live in a town caught in perpetual autumn. A dragon can help a child understand something difficult about herself. Ancient magic can alter the fate of kingdoms. And sometimes the unseen things hiding in an ordinary city aren't imaginary at all.

Her stories cross genres, but they share a common thread: fantastical worlds grounded in deeply human experiences.

The Common Thread

The settings and audiences may change, but E.K. Miehlke's stories use fantasy to explore very human experiences. The fantasy is not decoration layered over the story — it is the lens through which her characters encounter courage, loss, belonging, difference, love, identity, hope, and purpose.
